I wandered down the corridors,
kicked through doors,
searching for something
and again
nothing to be found.
Boating across ocean of void shadowed by rainclouds,
dashing on metal stairs floating above black mist,
sneaking along the edge of cliffs by abyss of waste.
And there I was,
high up on steam beams of abandoned skeleton of what should have been skyscraper,
down stood my target, the Daemon of Laplace.
Gunpowder, Roundshot, I filled my rifle in both barrels, tamping with a ramrod.
"Well, no need to be hostile, my friend."
said the Daemon of Laplace,
"You know I'll always deduce your next step,
"so how come?"
I refused to answer.
They acknowledge every single step I took,
and predict every single step I would take.
With no chance of winning the gamble, I pressed my trigger.
The daemon did not bother a move,
with the first shot deflected by a bypassing bird, and the second failed inside the barrel.
"See, my friend?" The daemon ridiculed.
"You don't stand a single chance."
I sighed, surrendered and asked what he had been asking for.
"Monika came before you, searching for her Lady who knows Everything while you hunt for me.
"Did she get what her wish was for? Or DO YOU?"
The daemon giggled while I was busy getting the failed shot out.
"The lady who knows everything refused to show her everything."
Daemon burst into laughing.
"I'm not as kind as the lady.
"So, I'd like to show you everything that you, have been asking for.
"And in return, you'll pay at your own price automatically."
Before I made my third shot,
the daemon snapped their fingers,
and the world collapsed on me.

Trees of endless IFs, ELSEs and ELSEIFs.

Squeaking, screeching, piercing.

Depressed, desperated, determined.

I got lost within the scenery inside that pot.

I who had every single answer and had no answer.

Years after years I searched for a good ending.
And the world just wouldn't bother to write an ending for me.

Seeks after seeks I searched through the great void of knowledge for a way to happiness.
And now I realized the only way to isnot toat the beginning.
I had gone too far.
I had gone too far.
I had gone too far
I HAD G0NE TOO FAR
THERES NO TURNING BACK
WHAT HAD I DONE

You have already paid your prices, my friend.Mocked the daemon.
After all, what you asked for in the trade is the price itself.
Unknown is better than known. YOUR LEGEND ALSO DOES NOT EXIST.

And there I know,
the Daemon of Laplace is also the Demon of Laplace.
Epiphany is the greatest curse.
I fell through the rooms
fell across the ocean under a storm
fell into the mist.
This time
however
without even trying to resist.
Not only I lost my gun
but also my will
my hope
which should have been lost long ago.
I gave up. AGAIN.
…
She is not in sight while I float across the shimmering void.
I panic.
